She moved to Austin with her husband in 2015 to be closer to family and continued working in real estate until she was called into full time ministry for two years. Prior to her time at MSB, Marla served as a SHARS clerk for Humble ISD. She is excited to be on the opposite side of the coin and to be directly serving the providers who impact students’ lives on a daily basis. Marla enjoys a night in watching the Food Network, spending time with her three children, and serving as the Children’s Ministry Director at her church. She would love to help MSB continue to grow in the number of school districts it serves and in establishing it as the best SHARS billing vendor on the market.

As an MSB Brand Ambassador, DJ Laskaris is on a mission to make MSB's services, product, and relationships the foundation to the work districts do. As a former educator and Special Education Director, DJ knows the resiliency that is required of those who are committed to serving students with exceptional needs and she uses that knowledge, experience, and passion to steer the course for the services and support MSB provides. An innovator and creator at heart, DJ sees everything as an opportunity to serve students and educators more holistically and in a way that gives heart and motivation to everyone she works with.

Dr. Jaime Callahan was in public education for 23 years before joining the MSB team; she served for 18 years in Highland Park ISD and 5 years in Irving ISD in multiple roles: a Teacher, an Instructional Coach, a Curriculum Coordinator, an ESL Coordinator, and most recently as the Director of Assessment and Accountability. She received her Bachelor of Science in Health Care Administration from Texas State University, her Master's in Education from SMU, and her doctorate in K-12 Educational Leadership from Dallas Baptist University.

When Jessica isn't creating for the MSB market, she enjoys spending her free time writing and designing, recently signing a deal to complete her first published children's book! Brenda most recently served as the Executive Director of Special Education for North East ISD in San Antonio. Prior, she was the Director of Special Education at LaVernia ISD and in various roles previously at Windham School District, Huntsville ISD, and Conroe ISD. She has always proven to be an advocate for the Special Education community and for the SHARS program.<br><br> In the Spring of 2023, during the 88th Legislative session, Brenda testified in favor of House Bill 1238, written by Representative VanDeaver in order to support the creation of a SHARS Advisory Committee that would take into consideration the impact on school districts when implementing new SHARS policies.<br><br> Brenda has a B.S in Agricultural Business/Secondary Education and a M.ED in Education Leadership, both from Sam Houston State University (SHSU). She has served as an Educational Diagnostician, has her Superintendent's Certification, and has used her numerous experiences in varied roles as a dutiful servant to public education. Brenda stated that, "Growing up I was very involved in leadership development through the FFA organization. As I began my education at Sam Houston State University I found opportunities to continue that development...this helped further cement my belief in the SHSU motto, which is, 'A measure of a life is its service.'"<br><br> After 30 years in public education, Brenda will be serving as the Director of Field Operations with MSB. This role serves the purpose of maintaining and progressing the strength of consultation that MSB provides to districts with the ultimate goal of ensuring compliance and yielding maximization of SHARS reimbursement.<br><br> When asked why she chose MSB and why this role were the next step in her career, Brenda shared, "I have experienced first-hand MSB's commitment to service and could not imagine a better organization to join in this season of my professional career as I continue to support and serve our public schools."<br><br> Brenda and her husband, Chris, live on a ranch in the Abilene area where they are cultivating their dream property. Her son Garrett is graduating from SHSU in December (Agricultural Engineering Technology) and her daughter Delaney is a Junior at Texas A&M University San Antonio with a Major in Biology/Ecology/Chemistry.

Meredith served 21 years in public education, all of which was dedicated to serving students receiving special education services. She utilized X logs for SPED documentation as a classroom teacher, campus administrator, and district supervisor. She was such a fan that when she became the Executive Director for Montgomery ISD, she brought MSB with her. Meredith is honored to be a part of the MSB team, knowing how much dedication and support goes into supporting school districts and their students. As a Program Specialist for MSB, she is able to connect with district stakeholders to set goals, collaborate consistently, and communicate progress on district goals to ensure their special education documentation remains compliant and valid while maximizing reimbursement through the SHARS program. One of her favorite projects has been strategic planning and strategizing with Ector County ISD to implement systems that capture parental consent to prevent billing blocks. Through 26 workshops and 7 virtual office hour settings, she has collaborated to support and train over 247 providers with their SPED documentation in X Logs in one school year in Ector County ISD in order to hit their goals of consistent communication and provider participation.

With prior connections to the company, he readily seized the opportunity to join the organization when one presented itself.<br><br> Nate's profound knowledge of technology and the IT industry enables him to adapt to any given situation and devise optimal solutions. He aspires to establish comprehensive systems and processes that can help MSB operate at full capacity.<br><br> In addition to his professional capabilities, Nate possesses a genuine love for people and a desire to bring a smile to their faces. He is a talented comedian and takes pride in his progress in this field.<br><br> During his leisure time, Nate indulges in writing, networking with new individuals, and performing on stage.

Lindsey has a B.S in Elementary Education from Baylor University, M.S from Texas A&M-Commerce , and M.Ed from University of North Texas. She is a twenty two year veteran educator who has spent her last eleven years in special education administration. Lindsey has served in the capacity of a teacher, educational diagnostician, special education coordinator, assistant director, director, and executive director of special services.<br><br> From her time as a teacher to serving as a district-level director for special programs and special education she has garnered a variety of experiences that inform her leadership and allow her to see things from the perspective of virtually everyone involved. Her career in public education has been dedicated to ensuring all students are afforded the best possible conditions to reach their full potential.<br><br> Lindsey’s robust experience with SHARS has yielded her an extensive skill set related to maximizing reimbursement and training staff to ensure compliance. When asked why she chose MSB, Lindsey shared, “I want to support school districts by sharing my experiences and provide consultation to assist with state and federal regulations. I recognize first hand the challenges districts face and I’m committed to partnering with all stakeholders to reach their goals. I know I can provide the servant leadership they deserve.” <br><br> Lindsey resides in College Station with her husband, Doug and three children.

Nicole served as the Director of Development at a prominent educational company before joining MSB. During her tenure, she oversaw the creation of educational materials, trained consultants responsible for serving students, and was a key member of the team that launched and maintained their Portal and app.<br><br> In her role at MSB, Nicole strives to make a meaningful impact both internally and externally by committing to enhance the team dynamics.<br><br> Nicole takes pride in her academic achievements, having completed her Masters degree in a remarkably short span of three semesters. She has also recently acquired a new residence.<br><br> During her leisure time, Nicole enjoys exploring diverse culinary options, traveling to uncharted destinations, and spending quality moments with her loved ones. She also hones her creative skills by engaging in sewing projects.

Prior to his time at MSB, Scott worked in a large-scale manufacturing warehouse. Since joining the MSB team, Scott has proven himself to be incredibly reliable, hardworking, and personable. He lights up the office and is, without question, the office’s resident jokester. In his free time, you can find Scott making music, playing video games, and continuing to chase after his life-long dream of capturing a live Bigfoot.

Tabbatha Callaway, nominated for Austin Business Journal’s CEO of the year in 2022, is one of the nation’s leading Medicaid SBS experts. Her expertise in this industry includes the ability to analyze and interpret policy, an extensive knowledge of each Medicaid programmatic component, experience in multiple Medicaid billing methodologies, and the thorough attention to detail that is required to successfully disseminate accurate and digestible partnerships between LEAs, state agencies, and billing vendors. She currently serves as the CEO at MSB School Services, serving over 600 LEAs in both Texas and New Hampshire with the goal of maximizing reimbursement through adherence to policy and a depth of understanding how to be compliant. Tabbatha Callaway was hired as the first employee for MSB School Services in the state of Texas 18 years ago and has influenced the direction of the Medicaid to Schools program, both in Texas and nationally, through her deep understanding of the federal intent of the program and her proclivity in creating operational excellence with its implementation. She has worked in 8 different states (Texas, New Hampshire, Vermont, California, Colorado, Massachusetts, Ohio, Illinois) with both the cost accounting and the fee-for-service methodologies.

As a compassionate person with a keen mindset for service work, Joel found that MSB aligned with these ideals. Prior to MSB, Paul worked as a Web Developer for a small tech company in Dallas. He is thrilled to be back in his hometown and to be working alongside such a motivated and talented development team on the next generation of X Logs. Paul is excited to continue to create clean designs and establish a foundational, adaptable, domain-model that will provide agility and opportunity for valuable additions to the product down the road. In his free time, you’ll find Paul working on personal coding projects, mixing fancy cocktails, and tag-teaming elaborate home decor projects with his wife, Hannah.
